Our Virginia Gold Tobacco seedlings are organically raised and ready to transplant, giving you a head start with this classic, light brown variety. Renowned for its pleasant aroma, high natural sugar content, and smooth character, Virginia Gold is highly productive and an excellent additive for cigarette blends (10–15%).

This variety grows well in Canadian climates, though when grown from seed it typically requires indoor starting about one month earlier than most other tobaccos. Mature plants reach around 150 cm (5 ft.) tall, with strong stems and a footprint of 3–4 ft. in diameter. They develop large leaves up to 50 cm long, which cure into a light brown color, producing tobacco well-suited for both cigarettes and pipe blends.
