Habanero Hot Pepper (Capsicum chinense)
The hottest pepper in our collection, the fiery Habanero reaches an intense heat level of around 350,000 Scoville units. Despite its small size, it delivers an unforgettable punch and is a favorite for lovers of truly hot cuisine. Plants mature in about 120 days, growing into compact, bushy shrubs about 2 ft. tall and wide, loaded with bright orange fruits.
The peppers are irregularly shaped, up to 2 inches long, ripening from green to a striking orange. Their vivid color makes them highly ornamental as well as culinary, and they grow well both in the garden and in pots.
⚠️ Caution: Keep away from children—while the fruits look attractive, they are extremely hot and can cause harm if handled improperly.
Habaneros are prized in Oriental and Latin American cooking, and are excellent for fresh use in salsas, fiery sauces, or for drying into powders.
