Organic Squash Seeds from Our Canadian Farm
All of our squash seeds are organically grown on our family farm in Canada, non-GMO, and carefully selected from our healthiest, most vigorous plants.
You may know them by different names—pumpkin, zucchini, or squash—but they all belong to the same plant family: squashes.
Summer Squash (Zucchini)
Although all squashes originated in the Americas, zucchini was actually developed in Italy, where the word “zucca” means squash.
Zucchini plants are fast growers, producing glossy green fruits that can reach up to one meter long—though they’re best harvested young, when tender and full of flavor. Young zucchini have thin, edible skin and a crisp texture, perfect for fresh eating like cucumbers. Mature ones develop a thicker rind, ideal for longer storage in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place.
In the kitchen, zucchini is wonderfully versatile—steam, bake, fry, grill, or stuff it for delicious and healthy meals.
Winter Squash (Pumpkins and More)
Winter squashes come in a stunning variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. Their thick skins allow them to be stored for months—often lasting through the winter into April or May.
They’re not only beautiful but also packed with nutrition. Rich in vitamin A and beta-carotene, they support eye health, strong bones, and immune function.
Health Benefits
Both summer and winter squashes are nutrient-dense and make a valuable addition to a healthy diet. Zucchini, in particular, is:
-
Low in calories, making it ideal for weight management.
-
Rich in vitamin C, vitamin A, fiber, and B vitamins.
-
A natural source of omega-3 fatty acids, calcium, and protein.
-
Known to support men’s health, helping to ease BPH (benign prostate enlargement) symptoms.
Whether you grow them for their beauty, productivity, or health benefits, our organic squash seeds will reward you with vigorous plants and delicious harvests—all nurtured with care on our Canadian farm.
