Burley tobacco is a light colored tobacco that is used in cigarette production in US. It is good, very productive tobacco. As far as we know, it is not grown commercially in Canada, because of some sugar content in the leaves. Plants grow tall - about 5-6-foot tall with large leaves. Historically this type of tobacco is air-cured by hanging in the ventilated barn for several months. Leaves cure into a light brown color.
