Lavender Harvest time gathers the whole family together in the field. We are cutting, bunching, hanging lavender to dry.
It took us almost 5 days this year to complete this . Lavender plants grow bigger year after year, they produce more flowers.
The field gets so beautiful in July that makes by-passers to stop by to enjoy the view and make pictures. One local photographer made an appointment to bring her clients for amazing shots between the lavender strokes.
Other people come to ask for advice on how to grow lavender, to buy some lavender bunches.I have learned that lavender flowers are needed for so many different things apart from aromatherapy, for candy making, wedding decoration, making scented cards, even to repel bugs in chicken coop :)
And when we work with lavender outside or in the barn, we keep thinking that we have the most pleasantly smelling job in the whole world !
