This sunflower seeds were brought to us originally from Kazakhstan. It has a distinct white seed hull, it is  another "confectionery "type, meaning seeds are large and edible - mostly used for preparing nutritious snacks.

Plant grows tall - over  2m (7'), with large heads - up to 15-20cm. Seeds are long (2cm), hulls are of off-white color, thin enough for easy cracking.

Excellent for snacking roasted and/or salted. Favorite snack in Russia and Kazakhstan. Easy to grow in any Canadian garden.

Sunflower seeds contain high amount of dietary iron, zinc, potassium, thiamine, vitamin E. And they are an excellent source of dietary fiber.
