"Confectionery " type sunflower, meaning seeds are large and edible - used for preparing nutritious snacks.

Plant grows tall and heavy  - over  2 m (7'), with large heads - up to 30 cm. Seeds are long (2 cm), and full, hulls are white colored with distinct grey stripes.

Excellent for snacking roasted and/or salted, (hulled) for baking and as addition to salads. Favorite snack in Russia.

Easy to grow in any garden. Tolerates any soil.
